Beauty Review: Dry Shampoo Challenge

I am just loving the dry shampoo craze the last couple years and I often ask myself, "how the heck did I survive so long with out it all my life?  I have tried a good many of them that are on the market. This is just a mere sampling of what I have tried.

My hair is quite fine (in texture :)) and I color it (no kidding :)) and it gets quite oily and flat quickly. But,  washing fine hair everyday strips hair of it's natural oils.  My hair stylist recommends washing colored hair every 2-3 days  for this exact reason. OK, I can do that, but how to keep it fresh is the question.  And, so started my dry shampoo journey.  The above pic is actually a reduced inventory because I have finally determined my favorite of all time.  But first lets talk about my least favs.

Tresomme Tresemme Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo  - Its not expensive at $5.99 but it doesn't do much.  It has a fresh sent but it doesn't absorb oil at all.

Klorane - Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk  This one I picked up in France this summer but it's available in the States too.  Again there is not much oil absorbtion especially at $20 per bottle

Not Your Mother's Clean Freak Dry Shampoo - Same as the rest above just sorta there but has a clean scent not expensive either.

Now my top 3

#3   Batiste Original Clean Dry Shampoo - I also bought this in Europe this Summer. The bottle had
it is "number one in the UK" so I gave it a go.  It is powdery, absorbs oil and refreshes much better than any in it's price range at  $5.99.

#2  Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo -  This on always get great rating.  It has powder absorbing qualities.  Directions recommend spraying in hair and leaving for 30 seconds before rubbing into your scalp.  It made a big difference reading the directions. But, it's pricey at $22 per bottle.

#1 The Winner Drybar 'Detox' Dry Shampoo - OMG  I do not know what is in this bottle but for my fine colored hair it's the bomb!  It somehow smooths and cleans leaving it looking like a fresh blowout for days.  I was literally addicted to it and had to take a break from it.  At $24 a bottle I was going broke using it daily.  Travel size is $13 if you want to take a test run.

And Voila!  Hair after 3 days of no washing just Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo!  Gotta love it!  Shop Dry Shampoo in this post and others below.
