Around and about Palm Springs

I've had this little black dress hanging in my closet and was literally afraid to wear it.  The plunging neckline isn't for sissy's.  But never fear, adding a mesh body suit adds a bit of smoke, mirror and a whole lot of confidence.  

This fabulous French Connection dress has panel insets of floral lace and a pleats.  Initially I tried a floral body suit underneath and it was too much.  This Kendall + Kylie mesh bodysuit worked much better as it fades into the background whilst providing just enough coverage.

Finding great spots around Palm Spring is never difficult - even when you aren't planning on it!  Heading to dinner tonight turned into a photo shoot and a blog post of my #ootd.

The desert never fails to amaze - just look up, down and around and you will find a backdrop.

Stopped again by the scenery!  It's no secret I'm hooked on platform oxfords and I love the look even with dresses.  But, the key is to wear them with long maxi's.  They add height to your leg and for this outfit is a little less dressy which is just what I wanted tonight.  You could add booties or pumps for a dressier look.

Sunsets here are always gorgeous! Even though day temps have been hovering in the high 70's, when the sun sets it gets chilly. My mesh body suit adds a touch of warmth (it helps even in freezing temps!).

Stylingwise tip: You can add a bandeau bra underneath the mesh body suit for more coverage.
Adding a long necklace to a plunging neckline elongates your look.
