Bloomin' Spring

It's no secret Spring is upon us, it just likes to take it's sweet time getting here..  So my motto is lately: "Despite the forecast, live like it's spring!" 

Don't worry.  Spring is happening. And, that means tulips, daffodils, crocuses, just to name a few, are emerging from the ground up.  I look out in my yard daily awaiting the time when they show their stuff.  Those little bursts of color are pure joy.  And, thus, the inspiration of my outfit!

Obviously, I am deep it thought here about my #OOTD. Working this outfit from the bottom up, just like spring flowers are these fabulous Alexandre Birman sandals.  They are colorful and a perfect foil to my white skirt and one shoulder blue stripe top.  

And don't get me started on blue striped blouses.  I could do a blue striped shirt all day, everyday.  They are a classic that pairs perfectly with this white skirt. And, white pants and jeans also work like a charm, too.

What about my Staud Clothing bucket bag. It's so cute...right? Bucket bags are a hot spring item and I've got more below in at all price points.

This fits my Stylingwise rules of engagement.  These shoes and purse have good bones and can be worn with many outfits for seasons to come. The top is something you can find at a reasonable price.  I found this one at a local boutique on sale for a song.  Good idea because it will probably have a short fashion shelf life.

Stylingwise tip: A good white skirt should be a wardrobe staple.  I recommend you look for one on sale or reasonably priced because white doesn't wear well - dirt, stains and yellowing limit how long they can be worn.
