Workhorse Wardrobe Staple: The basic black t-shirt dress

What is your most favorite wardrobe staple?  I'd have to say mine would be black t-shirt dress.  It's a workhorse.  In fact, by switching up my accessories.  I could probably wear this dress everyday!

This black t-shirt dress from H&M is the perfect foil to some edgy statement accessories like this Alexander Wang bucket back and a pair of fur pom pom slides.  

I usually pack one for travel in the spring, summer and fall.   Black is forgiving when it comes to stains and paired with your favorite walking shoes, you're ready for a day of sightseeing and shopping.  Or throw it over a swimsuit for the beach or poolside. For cooler weather a jean jacket or large lightweight scarf draped around the neck will do the trick.
