It's a lazy little village with one restaurant, hotel, bakery and where the main feature is a gorgeous waterfall we hike to often.
We sip rose and nibble appetizers each night. One of my favorite things to do is to visit the markets in surrounding villages where we get our evening treats like olives, local cheese, hand made sausage. Every day in the summer you can find an outdoor market somewhere within a 45 min drive. Some are big, some are small but regardless each market is a feast for the eyes.
Usually, there are vendors selling clothing with a multitude of summery, breezy, gauzy fun dresses, tops, pants, shoes. Since I won't be there this year to get my fill of some fun market clothing, I have been looking for online sources of similar clothing. I came across many and landed on a favorite called Oaxaca Made Goods (click to enter website) on Etsy.com.
Each item in the shop artisan-made in Oaxaca, Mexico, where traditional craft practices are not only sustainable but carefully executed with integrity. The shop supports artists that depend on tourism and tourist dollars for their livelihood. And as we all know, travel has been suspended for many thus this site is helping these artisans in their especially trying time.
Stylingwise tip: I love dresses like this that are actually separates. I can wear the skirt over a bathing suit or the wrap top reverses back to front and with jeans. So many options!!!
Check out Oaxaca Made Goods - you will love all the clothing, jewelry and accessories they have. Plus, you will be supporting businesses owned by woman and people of color and helping those who need it most!
